A 15-member Bangladeshi cultural delegation has arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan, to showcase Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage and strengthen bilateral artistic ties.
The delegation comprises prominent musicians, dancers, vocalists, and officials from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Notable members of the troupe include popular musical artistes Nasir, Piyal Hasan, lyricist and music director Ethun Babu, and renowned painter and printmaker Md Abdus Sattar, among others.
During the visit, the Bangladeshi artistes will perform at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Lok Virsa, showcasing traditional Bangladeshi music and arts.
According to sources at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, the visit is organized as part of an initiative to foster cultural exchange and deepen mutual understanding between the two nations.
The program follows a bilateral cultural exchange agreement signed last year during the visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar to Bangladesh, implemented under the direction of Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Official sources expressed optimism that the exchange will enhance collaboration and communication among artistes and cultural representatives from both countries.
