Bangladesh have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate in their opening match against Zimbabwe in the tri-nation ODI series, following a heavy defeat.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the Bangladesh players have been fined five per cent of their match fees for being one over behind the required rate.
According to Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct, players are fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their team fails to bowl within the allotted time.
Bangladesh captain Towhid Hridoy accepted the charge, eliminating the need for a formal hearing.
