Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Dinesh Trivedi stated that Durga Puja is being celebrated across Bangladesh in a joyful and festive atmosphere this year.

He made the remarks on Monday (October 19) morning while speaking to reporters during his visit to the Banani Durga Puja pavilion in Dhaka.

Emphasizing the importance of communal unity, Trivedi noted that peaceful coexistence among all communities is essential for building lasting harmony. He added that he visited the venue not merely as a diplomat, but as a family member to share the festive joy.

During his visit, the Indian envoy offered prayers for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the nation and its citizens. He expressed hope that the multi-day religious festival would conclude peacefully in the same festive spirit.
