Manchester United’s struggles continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United in the Premier League at Elland Road on Sunday, extending their winless league run since August.
Bryan Mbeumo put United ahead in the 35th minute, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin restored parity for Leeds in the 51st minute. United failed to regain the lead despite their efforts, dropping more points in a difficult start to the season.
The draw leaves United with just one win from their first seven league matches, placing them 13th in the table and increasing pressure on manager Michael Carrick to improve the team’s performances. Familiar problems in possession and defending set-pieces continued to cost the side valuable points.
