Fire breaks out at scrap warehouse in Gazipur

A fire broke out at a tin-roofed scrap warehouse in the Ambag Eidgah area of Konabari in Gazipur city on Sunday (October 18) night.

The fire started around 8:00PM, prompting two units of the Konabari Modern Fire Service to rush to the scene. Firefighters brought the blaze under control after nearly half an hour of efforts, warehouse inspector Saiful Islam confirmed.

The tin-roofed warehouse and scrap materials stored inside were burned in the fire. However, the cause of the blaze and the extent of the financial losses could not be determined immediately. No casualties were reported.
