The Rangamati Hill District Council plans to build a hostel at every educational institution to improve access to education for students in remote areas.
Council Chairman Dipan Talukdar announced the plan at a meeting with heads of educational institutions on Thursday (October 15).
He said accommodation shortages were a major barrier to education in remote hill areas, adding that the council would continue supporting efforts to improve educational standards.
Council member Advocate Mamunur Rashid Mamun also attended the meeting. Participants discussed challenges and recommendations for improving secondary education.
