Tarique Rahman schedules 3-divs tour for Durga Puja

According to the official itinerary released by the Prime Minister's Office, preparations have commenced across Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Chattogram to facilitate the high-profile visits.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will depart Tejgaon Airport in Dhaka aboard a military aircraft for Saidpur Airport on the morning of October 20. From Saidpur, he will proceed by road to visit the Rangpur Dhormosobha (Radha Gobinda Temple) Puja mandap.

Following his visit to Rangpur, the Prime Minister will fly from Saidpur to Hazrat Shah Makhdum (R.) Airport in Rajshahi. At 1:30 PM, he is scheduled to visit the Rajshahi Dhormosobha Temple, before taking a brief respite at the Rajshahi Circuit House.

During his brief stay in Rajshahi, the Prime Minister is also slated to address a public rally organized at the historic Madrasa Ground in the city at 3:00 PM.

Upon concluding the rally, he will travel from Hazrat Shah Makhdum (R.) Airport to Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram. In the evening, the Prime Minister will visit the J M Sen Hall Puja mandap in Rahmatganj, Chattogram. After staying briefly at the Chattogram Circuit House, he will return to Dhaka by air the same night.

Meanwhile, the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) held a preparatory meeting at the RMP headquarters on Thursday (October 15) evening to review security arrangements for the Prime Minister's visit and the Durga Puja celebrations. Land Minister Md Mizanur Rahman Minu attended the hour-long meeting as the chief guest.

The meeting focused on maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and coordinating inter-departmental efforts to facilitate a smooth visit and peaceful festive environment.

Rajshahi-3 MP Advocate Shafiqul Haq Milon, Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Divisional Commissioner Yusuf Ali, RMP Commissioner Mohammad Fayzul Kabir, District Council Administrator Ershad Ali Esha, Rajshahi Development Authority Chairman Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, and District Superintendent of Police Md Mamun Ur Rashid were among the senior officials present at the meeting.
