Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi narrowly escaped a major accident on the set of his upcoming film Gunmaster G9 during the shoot of its climax sequence.

A video circulating on social media showed an SUV suspended from a crane flipping mid-air before crashing onto a black van below, close to where Hashmi was standing on the set.

The footage triggered widespread concern among fans regarding safety protocols on set. The video shows crew members preparing for a high-octane stunt; following a countdown, the suspended SUV flipped upside down in mid-air and slammed heavily onto the roof of the parked van.

Hashmi was standing in close proximity to the impact site. Although a minor miscalculation could have led to serious injuries, it remains unconfirmed whether the sequence was an executed stunt or the result of a technical glitch.

Fortunately, no injuries to Hashmi or any crew members were reported. The film's producers have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, and the exact location of the shoot remains undisclosed.

Directed by Aditya Datt, Gunmaster G9 has previously drawn attention over onset controversies. In June, filming was temporarily halted in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, after local residents protested against a "Bar and Cafe" sign set up for the shoot. Producer Deepak Mukut later resolved the issue with locals, clarifying that there was no intention to hurt religious sentiments.

In the film, Hashmi plays the role of "Ishwar," a dairy farm owner who goes to extreme lengths to protect his loved one. The film's first look was unveiled in August.

Alongside Hashmi, the movie features Genelia Deshmukh, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Singh in pivotal roles. Gunmaster G9 is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27.
