Following his release from police custody, Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke launched a scathing attack on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, labeling him a "shame" for the country.

Dipke made the remarks in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday (October 11) morning, shortly after a Delhi Cantonment executive magistrate ordered his release alongside CJP co-convenors Sourav Dash and Ashutosh Ranka.

"Modi is a shame for India as Prime Minister. This country has never seen such a big coward and rioter before," Dipke wrote.

The CJP leaders spent nearly 24 hours in custody after being detained on Saturday morning. In a dramatic security operation, Delhi Police intercepted Air India flight AI 2428 immediately after it landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 10:18 AM, directing the aircraft to a remote parking bay before boarding and detaining the three leaders inside the cabin.

According to the party's chief legal counsel, their release was granted under a legal stipulation requiring them to refrain from any activities that could breach the peace over the coming year.

Despite the restrictions and weekend crackdown—which saw over 3,000 demonstrators arrested to block a planned protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar—CJP leaders have vowed to press ahead with their campaign. The party scheduled a press conference for 2:00 PM on Sunday to outline its next steps.
