A proposal has been made to upgrade the Parliament Medical Centre into a 10-bed hospital to improve healthcare services.
The proposal was discussed at a committee meeting at the Parliament Secretariat on Saturday, chaired by Whip Mia Nuruddin Ahmed Apu.
The committee also proposed increasing medical staff, setting up a modern physiotherapy centre, adding advanced medical equipment and upgrading pathology facilities.
It also recommended procuring an ambulance equipped for intensive care and signing agreements with nearby hospitals to ensure better treatment for referred patients.
