All India Students’ Association (AISA) national president Neha Bora was released from police detention on Saturday (October 10) after being detained during a protest in New Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Bora was detained near the INA Market area while heading towards a planned demonstration. The protest was organised amid allegations of irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
Several political leaders and activists were also detained as Delhi Police tightened security to prevent protesters from reaching the designated venue.
