Eight people died with measles-like symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, while 1,086 new suspected and confirmed cases were reported during the same period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The DGHS disclosed the figures in its regular measles update on Saturday (October 10).
