Power supply will remain suspended for six consecutive hours in 41 areas across Munshiganj Sadar upazila on Friday (October 9) due to emergency line maintenance and right-of-way operations.
According to a press release signed by Md Sanowar Hossain, Deputy General Manager of the local Palli Bidyut Samity, the temporary shutdown will take place from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM to facilitate maintenance work on the Panchasar 33 KV feeder to ensure uninterrupted service in the future.
Affected Areas
The planned power outage will impact the following 41 localities:
Mireswar, Panchasar (Itkhola), Bastuhara, Gosaibagh, Bagbari, Muktarpur, Khalasibari, Natungao, Nayagao Madhyapara, Manikpur, Idrakpur, Uttar Kotgaon, Hospital area, Supermarket area, Police Outpost area, Panchasar, Manikpur Dastala, Ganakpara, Kotgaon, Sardarpara, Madhya Kotgaon, Deobhog, Vitishil Mandir, Munshiganj Government Boys' and Girls' High School area, Munshiganj Girls' High School area, Durgabari, Ramergaon, Jorpukurpar, Adhariyatala, Sarkarpara, Dakshin Ramgopalpur (Banshpatti), Dashkani, Muktarpur Chowdhurybari, Dayal Bazar, Baikhor, Champatala, Ranch Ruhitpur, Ranch Parulpara, Muktarpur BSCIC Industrial Estate, Dingabhanga, and the Sarak Bhaban area.
The power authority noted that the schedule might undergo slight adjustments based on technical requirements, warning that electricity could be restored at any time during the maintenance window. Residents have been advised to maintain a safe distance from power lines throughout the period.
The Palli Bidyut Samity expressed sincere regret for the temporary inconvenience and requested public cooperation to complete the technical work smoothly.
