Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman arrived in Istanbul, Türkiye, on Wednesday to attend the International Justice Summit-Istanbul 2026.
He arrived in Istanbul around noon, where he was welcomed by Sedat Ayyildiz, deputy minister of Türkiye’s Ministry of Justice.
During his arrival, Asaduzzaman also met Syrian Justice Minister Mazhar Al-Wais, who is in Türkiye to attend the summit. The two ministers discussed the historical ties between Bangladesh and Syria and issues of mutual interest.
They also highlighted the friendship between the peoples of Bangladesh and Syria and the spirit of Muslim brotherhood.
The International Justice Summit-Istanbul 2026 will be held on October 8 and 9, with justice ministers, judges, legal experts and other prominent figures from 75 countries expected to attend.
The summit will discuss international justice, the rule of law, judicial cooperation and other issues related to the legal and judicial sectors.
Asaduzzaman is scheduled to deliver a speech as an honoured guest at the summit’s opening session on Thursday.
He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings and exchange views with justice ministers and legal representatives from different countries during his visit.
