The Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) has issued new guidelines restricting same-day appointment bookings and updating slot schedules for applicants in Bangladesh.

Applicants can no longer book same-day appointments for Indian visas. They will only be able to book slots within the upcoming two-week period. IVAC announced the instruction on Tuesday (October 6).

IVAC stated that appointment slots for the following two weeks will open on Thursdays or the last working day of the week. The opening remains subject to slot availability with the relevant mission and visa section.

Slots will open between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM from Sunday through Thursday. On Saturdays, slots will open between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, based on availability.

The guideline reiterated that same-day bookings are strictly unavailable. Applicants must plan ahead and select dates within the two-week window.
