Drug dealer held with 300 yaba tablets in Noakhali

The Special Response Battalion-11 (SRB-11) detained Md Nurul Haque, 35, during a raid in the Purba Chandpur Bajra Bazar area under Bajra Union.

SRB officials said Nurul tried to flee after noticing the presence of law enforcers but was caught with the yaba tablets.

During initial questioning, he reportedly admitted to being a member of a drug trafficking group that had been bringing yaba consignments from the Cox’s Bazar border area and supplying them in Noakhali and nearby areas.

A case under the Narcotics Control Act was being prepared at Sonaimuri Police Station.
