How many districts of Bangladesh have you visited? A new online travel map is allowing people to answer that question by creating a personalised map of the districts they have explored. The map covers all 64 districts and can also help users plan future trips.
How to make the travel map:To create the map, visit the
Unseen Bangladesh website. The platform was developed for travel enthusiast.
1. Select the districts you have visitedThe website lists all 64 districts under the country's eight divisions. Users can select districts by clicking their names, clicking directly on the map or searching for a district by name. The number of selected districts is automatically displayed—for example, visiting 10 districts will show 10/64. There are also options to select all districts or clear the selections and start again.
2. Choose a theme
Users can personalise the map by selecting one of five available themes. The selected theme can be previewed before finalising the map.
3. Add your name and photoThe map also allows users to add their name and photograph. Adding a name is optional. If no name is provided, the map displays “Amar Bangladesh.”
4. Download the mapAfter completing the customisation, scroll down to the download section and download the map in PNG, JPG or PDF format. The finished map can then be shared on social media.
Plan your next trip
The platform also provides information on more than 240 tourist attractions across the 64 districts, including places to visit, directions, estimated costs and accommodation information. Users can therefore use the platform not only to record previous journeys but also to choose their next destinations.
For those planning to visit several districts in one trip, the Trip Planner allows users to select a starting point, add destinations, choose attractions and arrange the route. The route can be organised according to the shortest distance or manually according to personal preference.
The planner also allows users to set the duration and overall budget of a trip, making it easier to organise transportation and accommodation according to their plans.
The same platform also features a world travel map, along with quizzes and map puzzles based on Bangladesh's geography, districts, food and tourist attractions.
