Pritom and Shehtaz end marriage

After 10 years together, musician Pritom and his wife Shehtaz have decided to end their marriage by mutual consent and amicably.

They announced the decision in a joint statement posted on Facebook at 10:41 PM on Sunday.

In the statement, they said they were grateful for the time and memories they had shared and continued to have care and respect for each other. However, over time, they realised that living separately would be better for both due to a lack of mutual understanding.

They said the decision was made after long consideration and with mutual consent. With the support of their families, they are going through the divorce process and moving towards a new chapter in their lives.

They also requested friends, colleagues and the media to respect their privacy and remain sensitive to their situation during this time.

They expressed gratitude to everyone for their support and understanding.
