BNP and Jamaat-backed lawyers clash at Dhaka CMM court

A chaotic brawl broke out between lawyers affiliated with BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court on Sunday afternoon.

According to courtroom sources, the incident occurred during the routine judicial proceedings in the second half of the day. Tensions flared rapidly as opposing groups engaged in a heated argument, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation inside the premises.

Senior judicial officers and legal representatives eventually stepped in to restore order. Further security measures have been deployed around the court complex following the disorder.
