Minister warns against attempts to disrupt Durga puja

“If anyone tries to attack puja mandaps or create disorder, they will be living in a fool’s paradise,” he said.

He made the remarks while speaking to journalists after inaugurating a road in Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh on Saturday (October 3).

Farhad said support teams had been formed to assist the administration round the clock from Saptami to ensure the safety of devotees at puja mandaps.

He said the government had instructed the administration and party leaders and activists to ensure the overall security of the Hindu community during the festival.

“We will work accordingly to ensure a peaceful and beautiful celebration of Durga Puja,” he said.
