Goat dispute leaves man dead in Naogaon

A 42-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death following a dispute over a goat eating bitter gourd plants in Naogaon’s Dhamoirhat on Friday (September 2) evening.

The deceased was identified as Abul Kashem, a resident of Bara Shibpur Masterpara village in Jahannpur Union. Four members of his family were also injured in the clash.

According to locals, an argument broke out after a goat ate bitter gourd plants in a field. The dispute later escalated into a clash, during which Kashem was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon and died at the scene.

Police said they visited the spot after receiving the information and were investigating the incident.
