Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker dropped a bombshell during a fiery chat on reality show 'Rise and Fall 2', exposing a creepy encounter with a drunk director who showed up at her door late at night begging for a hug.
Spilling the tea to co-contestants Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and politician Tej Pratap Yadav, the actress recounted the spine-chilling incident from early in her career. Fresh off the success of 'Tanu Weds Manu', Swara landed a 56-day schedule as the lead heroine.
However, things quickly turned uncomfortable when the film's director started sliding into her messages with romantic poetry and claiming a director must "love" his lead actress.
The tension escalated when the director tried to lure her into a private, one-on-one rehearsal for an intimate scene. Swara shut it down immediately, demanding the male co-star and cinematographer be present instead of being cornered alone.
Her suspicions hit paydirt when she walked into the guest house—where she was the sole female staying—only to find the director and cinematographer already sloshed, knocking back half a bottle of liquor. Shocked to see a young actress in her early twenties expected to rehearse between two drunk men, Swara swiftly finished the session and escaped back to her room.
The nightmare was far from over. Late that night, the wasted filmmaker began furiously banging on her door, leaving her terrified he might break it down. When she opened it, he was swaying on his feet and slurring, "Can I get a hug?"
Refusing his advances, a terrified Swara told him straight to his face that he was scaring her and ordered him to back off. The shocking revelation left her fellow reality show contestants visibly furious, highlighting the predatory dynamics young female actors brave in showbiz.
