BRAC Bank and Midway Securities Limited have signed a Transaction Banking Agreement to facilitate faster and more efficient financial transactions for capital-market investors through API-based digital banking solutions.
Under the agreement signed in Dhaka on September 15, Midway Securities will use BRAC Bank’s API-based collection and payment solutions to streamline financial transactions for its customers.
The integration is expected to enable faster fund collection, allowing Beneficiary Owner (BO) account holders to place share purchase orders more promptly. Automated payment initiation will also simplify transaction processing and reduce manual procedures.
Md. Shaheen Iqbal, CFA, Additional Managing Director and Head of Wholesale Banking at BRAC Bank, said the bank’s API-based transaction banking solutions are designed to integrate banking services directly into business operations.
“Through this partnership, we aim to make fund collection and payment processing faster and more efficient for Midway Securities, while supporting greater digitalisation of Bangladesh’s capital-market ecosystem,” he said.
Md. Ashequr Rahman, Managing Director of Midway Securities Limited, said timely fund transfers are important for investors participating in the capital market.
He said the partnership would help streamline collections and payments, enabling customers to place investment orders more efficiently and have a smoother transaction experience.
The collaboration extends BRAC Bank’s digital transaction banking services to the capital-market sector, providing brokerage firms with technology-driven collection and payment solutions.
BRAC Bank said its transaction banking services are aimed at helping financial institutions automate transactions, reduce manual processes and integrate banking services with their business operations.
