Most dengue patients in Sirajganj are garment workers from Dhaka

Most dengue patients admitted to hospitals in Sirajganj are garment workers from Dhaka’s Konabari and Gazipur, said District Civil Surgeon Dr Md Nurul Amin.

He said many workers return to their homes in Sirajganj after falling ill and seek treatment at local hospitals. Kajipur has the highest number of dengue patients in the district.

Over the past 24 hours, 59 people with dengue symptoms were admitted to hospitals in the district, including 10 at private hospitals.

So far, 1,820 people with dengue symptoms have been admitted in Sirajganj. Of them, 1,693 have recovered and been discharged, while 126 are currently receiving treatment.
