JUST tops BD science university rankings

Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has topped Bangladesh’s science and technology universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027.

THE published the ranking on its website on Wednesday (September 30), placing JUST in the 1001-1200 bracket globally. It also ranked 10th among all universities in Bangladesh included in the ranking.

JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Yarul Kabir said the achievement was a source of pride for the university and the result of the collective efforts of its teachers, students, officers and employees.

“We are proud and delighted that JUST has achieved the top position among science and technology universities across the country,” he said.

JUST Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan said the recognition reflected the university’s progress in academic and research activities. He said they would continue to expand research, encourage innovation and strengthen JUST’s position internationally.

Treasurer Prof Dr Mohammad Faruk Hasan also expressed satisfaction over the ranking, saying the achievement was the result of collective efforts by the university community.
