US ambassadors and chiefs of mission from 11 South and Central Asian countries, including Bangladesh, met in New Delhi on Tuesday (September 29) to discuss regional priorities, security and economic issues.
The meeting was hosted by US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, who welcomed the diplomats from Bangladesh, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also joined the regional conference virtually and spoke with the ambassadors and chiefs of mission.
The discussions focused on US diplomatic engagement in South and Central Asia, along with regional strategic, security and economic priorities. No new bilateral policy decision was announced from the meeting.
