Michael Olise has set a release clause as a condition for signing a new contract with Bayern Munich, according to reports, as the French winger seeks greater control over a potential future move.
Bayern are reportedly preparing to extend Olise’s current contract, which runs until 2029, to 2032 and significantly increase his salary. However, his representatives want a release clause of around £170 million included in the new deal.
The demand comes after Bayern were able to block a potential move for Olise during the summer because his existing contract contains no release clause. Real Madrid have been linked with the 24-year-old, while other European clubs are also monitoring his situation.
Olise has made a strong start to the season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in seven matches, according to reports.
