Global oil prices climbed above $103 a barrel on Wednesday after US President Donald Trump rejected easing sanctions on Iran, raising concerns over crude supplies from the Middle East.
Brent crude futures rose $1.14, or 1.11%, to $103.73 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 34 cents, or 0.38%, to $89.72 a barrel.
The rise came a day after oil prices fell as increased supplies from the Middle East eased concerns over global availability.
Brent is on track to gain around 14% this month, which would mark its biggest monthly increase since July.
WTI, meanwhile, is headed for a monthly gain of about 4%. Earlier, WTI prices had climbed above $106 a barrel for the first time since May.
The latest price moves come amid heightened uncertainty over the outlook for Iranian oil exports and broader Middle East supply.
