Nominations sought for Independence Award 2027

The Education Ministry has asked all educational institutions to submit nominations of eligible individuals, institutions, groups and organisations for the Independence Award 2027.

The nominations must be submitted by November 1 following the prescribed procedure, according to a letter issued by the ministry on Tuesday.

The award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions in 13 fields, including the Liberation War and independence, science and technology, medicine, education, literature, culture, sports, rural development, social or public service, population control, public administration, research and training, and any other field determined by the government.

The ministry said nomination forms and relevant information can be collected from the Cabinet Division’s website.

Nominations from officials and employees of the Secondary and Higher Education Division and its subordinate offices, agencies and institutions must be submitted following the Cabinet Division’s guidelines on the Independence Award.

Thirty sets of the nomination documents must be submitted to the Coordination Branch by November 1. Both hard and soft copies are required.

The soft copy must be sent in Nikosh font via email or D-Nothi, the ministry said.
