All private dakhil, alim madrasa committees to be reconstituted

The Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board has ordered the reconstitution of existing managing committees and governing bodies of all private Dakhil and Alim madrasas.

The board also instructed institutions to seek approval for forming ad hoc committees as soon as possible, according to a directive issued Tuesday.

Under the directive, madrasa heads will prepare a list of three eligible candidates for committee chairman through the upazila nirbahi officer and deputy commissioner.

For madrasas under city corporations, the proposal will be sent to the education board through the divisional commissioner.

The board said its August 2, 2026 directive on the reconstitution process will remain unchanged.
