Five-day Durga Puja holiday possible

The government is considering declaring October 22 a public holiday through an executive order, which would give government employees a five-day break for Durga Puja.

The Ministry of Public Administration shared the information on Tuesday (September 29).

According to the official holiday calendar, Durga Puja holidays are scheduled for October 20 and 21, with offices set to reopen on October 22. If October 22 is declared a holiday, the break will continue through October 24, as October 23 and 24 are Friday and Saturday.
