The runway in Paris experienced a dramatic shift in atmosphere when Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepped out for the ninth edition of L'Oréal Paris's 'Le Défilé' fashion show.

Dressed in a deep velvet gown paired with a long, crystal-studded cape and sporting a striking burgundy-red hair color, the star delivered a modern regal aesthetic against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower at Place Joffre on September 28.

The ensemble, designed by Yara Shoemaker for the winter 2026-27 Couture collection, blended vintage royal elegance with contemporary fashion. The deep-toned velvet gown featured intricate detailing and three-dimensional fringe work, complemented by a floor-sweeping cape encrusted with numerous light-reflecting crystals.

Departing from her signature black locks, Aishwarya's vibrant new hair color provided a sharp contrast against her dark attire. Her styling and outfit curation were handled by Mohit Rai, Tarang Agarwal, and Chintan Shah, who opted for subtle makeup to keep the focus on the gown, cape, and hair color.

The global event centered on the theme of "celebrating one's own worth," promoting messages of self-confidence, diversity, and female solidarity. Aishwarya shared the runway with international celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, Simone Ashley, Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, and Celine Dion.

During the event, Aishwarya reunited on stage with singer Celine Dion, with the duo embracing, holding hands, and dancing together. She was also seen exchanging a warm greeting with actress Eva Longoria during backstage preparations.

As imagery from the event circulated across social media platforms, the actress drew widespread praise from fans and fashion commentators online for her transformed look and regal stage presence.
