No rush on Tarique Rahman’s India visit: Trivedi

Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi has said there is no need to rush Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s proposed visit to India, stressing that the trip will take place when the time is right.

“There has been an invitation. I don’t think there is any need to rush it this time. When the time comes, it will certainly made the remarks after paying a courtesy call on Bangladesh Foreign Affairs happen. Everything is positive,” Trivedi told reporters on Tuesday.

He made the remarks after paying a courtesy call on Bangladesh Foreign Affairs State Minister Humayun Kabir at the Foreign Ministry.

Asked whether a possible date had been set for Rahman’s India visit in November, the Indian envoy said there was no need for a lot of discussion about the Prime Minister’s visit earlier. 

''I would say again that the invitation has been extended. There is no need to rush. When the time comes, it excessive discussion about the timing at this stage.''
