Family Card: Payroll must be sent between 20th and 25th each month

The Department of Social Services has instructed officials to ensure 100 percent accurate payrolls are submitted between the 20th and 25th of every month to ensure timely disbursement of allowances to beneficiaries under the Family Card programme.

The instruction was issued in a letter from the Family Card programme on September 27.

According to the letter, allowances are being transferred directly to beneficiaries through the government-to-person (G2P) system using their mobile financial service (MFS), TakaPay and bank accounts.

To ensure that the allowance reaches genuine beneficiaries on time during the 2026-27 fiscal year, concerned upazila and city social service officers must submit accurate payrolls for each monthly instalment, the letter said.

Before submitting the payroll between the 20th and 25th of each month, officials must correct and update beneficiaries’ necessary information, including mobile and bank account numbers, in the Management Information System (MIS).

The authorities have also been instructed to follow existing guidelines if a beneficiary needs to be replaced due to death or any other reason. Such replacements must be approved and implemented through the relevant committee.

The letter urged concerned upazila and social service offices to take necessary measures to ensure that 100 percent accurate payrolls are submitted every month against beneficiaries’ own MFS, TakaPay and bank accounts between the 20th and 25th.

The letter, signed by Md Mosharraf Hossain, director (Social Security) of the Department of Social Services, was sent to directors of divisional social service offices in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Rangpur, Barishal and Mymensingh.
