Dubai boss surprises employees with iPhones in viral chocolate prank

A playful prank by a Dubai-based entrepreneur turned into an extraordinary reward when a businesswoman gifted brand-new iPhones to her top-performing staff members after initially handing them chocolates.
The video of the gesture, posted by Haseena Nishad, Managing Director of manpower supply firm World Star Holding, went viral across social media platforms.
The event, organized alongside her husband and company founder Nishad Hussain, featured gift boxes containing either an iPhone or a large chocolate bar.
When employees who received chocolates accepted their gifts cheerfully, Haseena stepped in to hand each of them a new iPhone as well, ensuring all 12 top performers received the high-end device.
Speaking on the initiative, Haseena explained that employee satisfaction and maintaining strong workplace relationships remain core principles for their firm, noting that staff welfare has been their top priority since founding the business in 2008.
The company has a history of grand employee retention initiatives. In 2024, World Star Holding treated 16 employees to luxury five-star hotel stays, chauffeur-driven supercar rides, and yacht parties for International Workers' Day, following a private movie screening event in 2023.
Haseena noted that these recognition efforts have resulted in high employee retention, with many staff members remaining with the firm for over five years.
