Youth shot dead in Khulna

A 32-year-old man was shot dead in Rupsa upazila of Khulna.

The deceased was identified as Md Bappi, son of the late Akbar Ali Sheikh of Alaipur village in the upazila.

Police recovered his body from a fish enclosure in Mominbag Beel in Ilaipur village under Naihati Union around 5:30 AM on Monday (September 28).

Rupsa Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anwar Zahid confirmed the incident, saying Bappi did not regularly stay in the area. He was reportedly living in different places using disguises.

Police said they recovered the body after receiving information from locals early in the morning and sent it to the morgue of Khulna Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Police are currently at the scene and investigating who killed Bappi and the motive behind the murder.
