Banned AL leader arrested in Jashore

Detectives detained Jiaul Hasan Happy, youth and sports secretary of the Jashore District Awami League, from Jashore city on Sunday night.

Police confirmed his arrest on Monday (September 28). They initially took him to the Detective Branch (DB) office after his detention. Later, DB police handed him over to Jashore Kotwali Model Thana.

Police detained him over allegations of subversive activities and involvement in programs of the banned Awami League.
