Tarique Rahman lands in Dhaka after successful UNGA summit

Emirates flight EK-582, carrying the Prime Minister and his entourage, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:21 AM.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman departed New York at 11:30 PM (local time) on September 25 after delivering his maiden address at the UNGA General Debate and leading a series of high-level bilateral and multilateral engagements.

During his four-day schedule in New York, the Prime Minister participated in 30 official events, including eight UNGA-related sessions, four high-level sideline events, and 11 bilateral meetings with heads of state and international delegates, according to Mahdi Amin, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office.

The bilateral discussions focused on core national priorities, including trade and investment, manpower export, energy security, regional cooperation, the Rohingya crisis, public health, climate change, and international peacekeeping.

Dr. Zubaida Rahman also engaged in eight high-level events during the visit, delivering key addresses at four major platforms, including the UNGA Platform of Women Leaders, the First Spouses’ Dialogue, and a forum on maternal and child health.
