Temperature to rise, no rain likely today in Dhaka

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast slightly higher daytime temperatures for Dhaka and surrounding areas on Sunday (September 27), with no immediate prospect of rainfall despite partly cloudy skies.

According to the six-hour forecast issued at 7:00 AM on Sunday, conditions in the capital are likely to feel warmer compared to Saturday.

The Met Office reported that winds in Dhaka may blow from the south or south-east at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. At 6:00 AM today, the temperature in the capital was recorded at 27°C, with relative humidity standing at 90 per cent.

On Saturday, Dhaka recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5°C, while today's minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4°C. No rainfall was logged in the capital over the preceding 24 hours.

Sunset today is expected at 5:50 PM, with sunrise on Monday scheduled for 5:49 AM.

Meanwhile, the BMD issued no weather warnings for the country's inland river ports for the period between 5:00 AM and 1:00 PM today, advising that no signals need to be hoisted.
