Zinedine Zidane began his reign as France head coach with a 1-0 victory over Türkiye in the UEFA Nations League on Friday (September 25), with Kylian Mbappe scoring the decisive goal.

Mbappe struck in the 54th minute after being set up by Michael Olise, giving Zidane a winning start in his first match in charge of Les Bleus.

The victory was tempered by concern over Mbappe, who picked up a knee injury while scoring and was substituted shortly afterwards
