BGB seizes Tk 4 cr worth of Indian mobile displays

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized 5,005 Indian mobile phone displays worth around Tk 4 crore during an operation in Bijoynagar of Brahmanbaria.

Acting on specific intelligence, a patrol team of the 25 BGB Battalion conducted a special operation in the Kamalmora area of Paharpur Union at around 5:00PM on Thursday (September 25).

The team recovered the displays, allegedly smuggled from India, from a wooded area near a cemetery close to the border. The items had been cleverly concealed and were found abandoned, according to BGB.
