Gold price drops by Tk 1,691

Gold prices have been reduced again in Bangladesh, with the price of 22-carat gold cut by Tk 1,691 per bhori.

The new price, including VAT, is Tk 232,930 per bhori (11.664 grams) and took effect from 10am on Saturday.

According to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS), the price was reduced due to a fall in the price of locally sourced gold.

The new price of 21-carat gold is Tk 19,075 per gram, while 18-carat gold will cost Tk 16,380 per gram. Traditional gold has been set at Tk 13,380 per gram.

Making charges will be added separately depending on the design of the jewellery.
