No jobs for current, former BCL members: Hamim

Former and current leaders and activists of the banned student organization Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) will not get any jobs as they are enemies of the country, said Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim, who contested for the GS post from the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal panel in the DUCSU election.

Hamim, who is also the convener of the Kabi Jasimuddin Hall unit of Chhatra Dal at Dhaka University, expressed his views in a post on his verified Facebook page on Friday (September 25).

In his post, Hamim wrote that current and former Chhatra League members will have no access to jobs, social standing, or acceptance, labeling them as enemies of the nation.

He stated that the hands of Chhatra League members are stained with the blood of martyrs Anas and Abrar Fahad, adding that only people with distorted mindsets could support them, while ensuring that no patriotic, meritorious individual is harassed.

He also urged Student Power and Islami Chhatra Shibir not to rehabilitate or shelter former Chhatra League members, warning them to show patriotism and stay loyal to the sacrifices of the July uprising.
