Trump hails B'desh Boeing deal in Truth Social post

US President Donald Trump has hailed Bangladesh’s deal to purchase 11 Boeing aircraft, calling it a “big day for Boeing and American manufacturing” in a post on his Truth Social account.

In the post on Thursday (September 24), Trump said Bangladesh and Türkiye had announced purchases totaling 111 Boeing aircraft, with options for another 50.

Bangladesh has agreed to purchase 11 Boeing aircraft for Biman Bangladesh Airlines, comprising five 787-10 Dreamliners and six 737-8 jets.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The latest deal is part of Biman’s fleet modernisation and expansion plans as the national flag carrier seeks to strengthen its international operations.
