42 B'deshi students leave for Pakistan under knowledge corridor

The first batch of 42 Bangladeshi students left Dhaka for Pakistan on Wednesday (September 23) to pursue higher education under the second phase of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor.

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider saw off the students at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. They have been awarded fully funded Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships to pursue undergraduate, master’s and PhD programmes at leading Pakistani universities.

Last year, 74 Bangladeshi students joined Pakistani universities under the first phase of the scholarship programme.

Wishing the students success, High Commissioner Imran Haider expressed hope that they would contribute to Bangladesh’s future and serve as a bridge between the peoples of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
