Six more die of dengue, 1,655 hospitalised

Six more people died of dengue in the past 24 hours, while 1,655 new patients were hospitalised across the country with the mosquito-borne disease.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided the figures through its Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room dengue dashboard on Monday.

With the latest deaths, the dengue death toll has reached 190 this year. A total of 63,627 dengue patients have been hospitalised so far this year.

Of the newly hospitalised patients, 217 are from Barishal division, 314 from Chattogram division, 281 from Dhaka division outside the city corporations, 166 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 167 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 271 from Khulna division, 43 from Mymensingh division, 146 from Rajshahi division, 41 from Rangpur division and nine from Sylhet division.
