'Hothat Brishti' remake to hit cinemas on October 2

The remake of the popular 1998 film Hothat Brishti, titled Abar Hothat Brishti, will hit cinemas on October 2.

Directed by Kamruzzaman, the film stars Arian Sarowar and Radifa Narmin in the lead roles. It was initially planned for a Puja release but was postponed for various reasons.

The shooting wrapped up around three months ago, and the film has already received clearance from the Certification Board.

The original Hothat Brishti, directed by Basu Chatterjee, starred Ferdous and Priyanka Trivedi. The new film retains the central atmosphere of the original while presenting the story for contemporary audiences.

Arian plays the character originally portrayed by Ferdous, while Radifa takes on Priyanka Trivedi’s role. Arian said he watched the original several times before filming and followed Ferdous’s performance without imitating him.

The cast also includes Azad Abul Kalam, Farzana Chhobi, Cristano Tanmoy, Kayes Arju, Mou Khan and Jhuna Chowdhury.

A premiere of Abar Hothat Brishti will be held at a cineplex in the airport area at 4 PM on September 30, with the cast, crew and director expected to attend.
