'Tarique Rahman’s govt has become Hasina’s govt': Oli Ahmed

Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Chairman Col (retd) Oli Ahmed has said that the government led by Tarique Rahman has become a government of Sheikh Hasina.

He made the remarks at a roadside rally organised at Bhogra Bypass in Gazipur on Saturday as part of an 11-party alliance’s long march to Rangpur.

Oli Ahmed said, “When Begum Zia was in power, it was Begum Zia’s government. During the time of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, it was Ziaur Rahman’s government. But during Tarique Rahman’s time, a Hasina government has been formed. Therefore, the BNP cannot continue with the Hasina government.”

He said, “We have repeatedly been warning that we want reforms. If you do not carry out the reforms, we will go for one-point demand. That is the government’s departure.”
