Manchester City beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in a tense Manchester derby, despite playing with 10 men for most of the match.

City went down to 10 men in the 23rd minute when Phil Foden was shown a straight red card for kicking Bruno Fernandes.

Despite being a man down, City took the lead in the 60th minute through Erling Haaland. The goal was first ruled offside but was allowed after a long VAR review.

United pushed hard for an equaliser in the final minutes, but City’s defence held firm to secure all three points.

The win kept City second in the Premier League with 12 points from four matches. United have four points from four games and sit 13th.
