Former national football star Kaiser Hamid has performed Umrah in Makkah carrying the passport of his late daughter, popular content creator and actress Karina Kaiser.
Kaiser had planned to perform Umrah with Karina, but the dream remained unfulfilled after the young actress died several months ago while undergoing treatment for liver-related complications at Christian Medical College (CMC) Hospital in Vellore, Chennai.
Karina is no longer by her father’s side, but her passport remains with him as a cherished memento. Carrying it with him, Kaiser travelled to the holy city of Makkah to fulfil their unfinished dream and keep her memory alive.
Kaiser had been planning the pilgrimage with Karina since last year. However, she died unexpectedly before they could make the journey together.
From Makkah, Kaiser shared an emotional photo on social media holding Karina’s passport. In the post, he wrote that they had planned to come to the House of Allah with Karina last year, but she suddenly went to Allah before everyone else.
Kaiser also said he believes Karina was spiritually present with him during the pilgrimage. Recalling a dream in which he saw Karina performing Tawaf around the Holy Kaaba with him, he wrote that he believes she performed Umrah with them and that her passport remained with them throughout the journey.
Karina Kaiser had gained popularity among young people within a short time through her lively presentation style and relatable content. She later earned recognition as an actress and screenwriter, working in popular series including ‘Internship’ and ‘36-24-36’.
